Special Olympics World Winter Games

24 athletes with a mental disability, together with 10 coached, left for Boise, Idaho last February to represent The Netherlands in the Special Olympics World Winter Games.

These games are the chance of a lifetime for the participants but also the most difficult competition they are getting into, ever. With the Special Olympics, these athletes can show the world which talents and skills they have and compete on top level.

All equipment for the Dutch ski and skating team, had to be ready for use upon arrival of the team in the US. Next to an advisory roll on the logistics side of matters, moving the equipment back and forth from the US,Fast Forward Freight assisted financially as well. Our local partner was brought up to speed and assisted greatly in the timely handling and smooth delivery and collection of the sporting equipment.

The Dutch delegation won numerous medals and returned to The Netherlands enriched and with a lasting impression.
