Global logistics, supply chain and technology provider EV Cargo is celebrating 40 years as the leading local operator of origin logistics and supply chain services in Bangladesh.
It was the first supply chain provider to be authorised and licensed to operate a large-scale quality control (QC) facility within a container freight station in Bangladesh and has continually pioneered innovation to deliver efficiencies across the supply chain.
Now an industry standard, EV Cargo broke the traditional mould by deploying the innovative solution over a decade ago and has continued to operate that ground-breaking solution ever since, with both dedicated and shared user QC models in operation.
The model has helped reduced quality control operating costs for customers by up to 20% compared to traditional destination QC and reduced product quality control failure rates by as much as 15%.
Clyde Buntrock, EV Cargo Global Forwarding Chief Executive, said: “Over the last 40 years, EV Cargo has developed a range of innovative solutions for garment manufacturers in Bangladesh and has become the market-leader in origin logistics, freight and supply chain services.
“Operating under license, our container freight station is set up to physically handle garments through origin compliance and Quality Control (QC) programmes. As a result they are meticulously maintained, dust free, garment friendly environments adhering to the most stringent of audits. Coupled with extensive garment on hanger capability, including box to hang, our QC programmes manage out variability and simplify the supply chain for our customers.
EV Cargo manages the flow of goods for 25% of all exports from Bangladesh to the UK as well as other key global markets and with over 100 colleagues based across Dhaka and Chattogram, offers an unrivalled local expertise and experience.
Services include hanging garment consolidation including box to hang, compliance and quality control, pick, pack, labelling and ticketing right through to multi-destination item picking and palletisation. Mature freight products in air and ocean coupled with significant volumes also mean a robust port to port freight solution for customers to all markets.
